Collection vehicle and lifter selection can dramatically influence the life of waste containers as well as the efficiency and operational costs of collection. With decades of experience in the waste container industry, OTTO has developed the right component for every market demand, matching waste containers with lifting components to create the perfect lifter-container combination for each situation.
Based on the characteristics and demands of specific markets, as well as the usage and functionality of the lifting devices, OTTO distinguishes five categories of lifters:
High-level Lifters Our automatic high-level lifters are designed for the efficient lifting and emptying of 2- and 4-wheel containers in high density areas, with a focus on realising the optimal cycle time to reduce the emptying cycle to a minimum. High-level lifters allow continuous operation of the compaction unit while the containers are emptied, respecting labor legislation, health and safety regulations and reducing accident risk. All our lifters are designed to ensure low maintenance cost, are compatible with identification and weighing systems and available as split- or non-split semi-automatic lifters.
Low-level Lifters For mixed density areas, or for situations in which different collection systems are in operation simultaneously (sacks, unpacked waste, wheeled containers), our multipurpose low-level lifters provide optimised cycle time combined with flexibility and user-friendliness.

Low-level Lifters for trade waste OTTO has developed the Comfortlift for bulky, large-sized industrial and commercial waste. The size and strength of the Comfortlift enables it to collect garbage in almost any shape. Its lifting power allows it to pick up waste collection containers of up to 10 cubic meters. The Comfortlift is the most flexible multi-functional lifter of our lifter range.

Non-automatic Lifters for 2- and 4-wheel containers In situations where labor costs are not the central issue, non- automatic lifters often are the best answer. These robust, simple, and user-friendly lifters reduce mechanical stress or damage to the bin system; they also keep maintenance costs to a minimum.

Integrated Lifting systems Lifting systems can be mounted permanently and directly onto the tailgate. These lifting systems offer similar advantages to non-automatic lifters, but are less flexible in use. The result, however, is a low-cost system for fixed waste collection situations.
